How to reach Las Navas del Marques

The main way to get to Las Navas is a fast, frequent train to El Escorial or to Ávila, followed by a taxi costing 35-40 Euros to Magalia in Las Navas. Given the taxi price, you can form small groups of up to 4 people for that option.

However, there are trains from Madrid to Las Navas. May 1, the opening reception will be at 20:00 and dinner at 21:00. May 1 is also a public holiday in Spain, Worker’s Day. This means that trains will be less frequent.

Train schedules to Las Navas from Chamartín, a station in Madrid:

  1. Direct trains Chamatín-Las Navas. They have 4 stops and cost 7.90 euros. They are called MEDIA DISTANCIA. The schedule is for May 1st:

  2. Combinado Chamartín-El Escorial-Las Navas. These are called CERCANIAS. They have 12 stops and there is a change of train at El Escorial. Cost 5.50.The schedule for May 1st is:

For each route, the last train will arrive too late for the reception and latefor dinner. So please try to be on an earlier train.

There is a bus service from las Navas Station to Las Navas village. On holidays such as May 1, there are fewer buses. We might be able to meet the afternoon trains at Las Navas station by car.
