How to reach Las Navas del Marques

By Local Transport (Information from http://www.ctm-madrid.es):

1. From Madrid Airport take Metro Line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios (final stop). (1,- €)
2. At Nuevos Ministerios

• Option 1 (direct): change to Metro Line 10 and take it to Chamartin
  
  • find the ticket window for REGIONAL trains, not long distance (Larga Distancia) or commuter (Cencanias) and get on one of the direct trains (Sunday schedule) to Las Navas del Marques
• Option 2: change from Metro to the Commuter trains (Cercanias Renfe) and take the C8 direction El Escorial . (4,25 €)
  • find one of the 9 trains to Santa Maria de la Alameda (last stop, s.Timetable) than take a taxi (around 7km) or...
  • take one of the plenty trains to El Escorial, there get on the public Bus 666 (Operator: Autocares Herranz, S.L.) to Las Navas del Marques. (1,90 €)

3. In Las Navas, the Castle is in the centre of the village, just some meters from the bus stop.

By Car:

There are several possibilites to reach Las Navas by car, if you prefer this option. From Madrid airport it is around 100km. The Palacio Magalia website offers this little map in spanish for some explanations. Please use web routing services or a navigation system to be sure.
